New Variety Recognised
At the General Council meeting held on February 11th 2012 it was decided to recognise the Anthracite as a variety.
The colour standard for this variety is:
Anthracite (Blue series)
Anthracite (Blue series) - Should be exhibited in the Fallow, Rainbow, Saddleback & Slate class unless separate classes are scheduled for Anthracites.
General Body Colour:
Rump, breast, flanks and underparts dark anthracite of an even depth of colour throughout.
Mask:
White, ornamented by six evenly spaced large round deep black throat spots, the outer two being partially covered by the base of the cheek patches. The white of the mask extending over the frontal and crown to merge with the black undulations at the back of the head.
The frontal and crown should be clear and free from all markings.
Cere: Blue in cocks, brown in hens.
Eyes: Black with white iris.
Cheek patches: dark anthracite.
Primary wing feathers: deep black with a minimal white edge.
Primary tail feathers: deep black.
Feet and legs: blue/grey.
Please note: The Anthracite (Blue series) should be exhibited in the Fallow, Rainbow, Saddleback & Slate class unless separate classes are scheduled for Anthracites.
The General Council also decided that both the Texas and the Easley Clearbody should Be exhibited in the AOC class unless separate classes are scheduled for Texas and/or Easley Clearbodies.
